You can’t take it with you...

The other day I was scrolling through Facebook and saw this in my gardening group…

So, what’s my take on this?

The short answer is NO don’t do it. Don’t take the garden with you, ha!

The long answer is first consult with your Realtor if you’re considering this. Plantings are part of the land and landscape that the buyers are purchasing. If you want to take something with you it should be removed prior to showings OR should be included as an exclusion in the listing.

Thankfully, I was able to reach out to this individual’s agent—who had no idea they were considering this—and was able to talk the owner down. Please don’t do this to your agent. A surprise like this could end up costing you! #DontTakeTheFlowers
